ABSOLUTE AU PAIRS aims to provide prompt, personal and efficient service, without ever compromising the standard of au pairs being placed. Only candidates with sufficient experience, traceable references, applicable first aid certificates and an obvious passion for children will be considered.

Having an au pair allows you to organize your family while still being able to commit to work and other responsibilities. Assistance with transport to and from school, extra-mural activities and outings can be provided. Knowing that homework and projects will be completed, school bags unpacked, uniforms in the wash and that happy children will be greeting you with big warm hugs when you get home, is well worth having an au pair.

I know that for a parent, leaving your child in the care of another person,  can be daunting. It requires trust and this can only be achieved by an open and honest relationship based on communication from day one. We strive to ease as much of this tension as possible by providing you with information and support where we can. Parents also need to realize that being an au pair is a huge responsibility. The au pair needs to ensure that her discipline tactics, activities and all that revolves around the children agree with that of the parents.

Being an au pair can be trying, as children can be very demanding, yet the au pair needs to provide for, love and nurture them unconditionally. This can be challenging and parents need to appreciate their commitment and dedication. Fortunately there are those people who possess the innate quality and have the personality to take care of children, whilst giving them the stepping stones for a healthy, balanced and well grounded life.

Having au paired in the UK for 3 little ones,  there are a few things that are very important to me and before placing an au pair the following topics are addressed:

• How to deal with a sick child
• Different ways that children experience love
• Playtime: Balance between free play and structured activities.
  Encouraging physical activity and limiting television time
